POMEROY, Wash. – Garfield County Hospital District is pleased to welcome Marybella Dodson to its staff on Thursday, Sept. 22. As a newly hired nurse practitioner in primary care services, Dodson will see patients at the Pomeroy Medical Clinic. Prior to joining GCHD, Dodson was employed as an acute medical nurse as part of COVID-19 deployments at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Lewiston, Idaho; The Queen’s Medical Center, Honolulu, Hawaii; Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, Wash.; and Long Island Jewish Medical Center, Queens, N.Y. In addition, Dodson completed her Master of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner from Herzing University in 2021, and also serves as an adjunct faculty clinic instructor for Walla Walla Community College at Gritman Medical Center in Moscow, Idaho. She has also been certified in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS) and AIDS education. Primary care providers at GCHD offer a full-scope of comprehensive care for patients of all ages; included as part of her practice, Dodson will provide both pediatric and women’s health exams.
