Virtual Visits Available for Behavioral Health Needs
Telebehavioral health provides accessibility to those in need – and it’s now available at Garfield County Hospital District’s Pomeroy Medical Clinic.

GCHD is partnering with Integrative Health Centers (IHC) to provide telebehavioral health. IHC provides psychiatric, behavioral and addiction services to healthcare organizations across the United States via a telehealth platform.

How Does Telebehavioral Health Work? 
  • The service will be provided at Pomeroy Medical Clinic; the patient will come to our clinic to meet with a counselor via video. 
  • Patients need a referral for the services from their primary care provider; all patients are eligible, even if they are not established with one of our primary care providers.
  • They will come to the clinic and do all of the typical intake steps; the only difference is that the provider will be on a computer monitor instead of in-person. 
  • When patients come to the clinic, our staff will handle all of the technology, so that aspect won’t be an issue for patients. 
  • The video platform is completely HIPAA compliant, and patients will be in private treatment rooms.
  • There will also be specialists who can either manage the patient’s medications or consult with our family practice providers on medication management. 
  • GCHD telebehavioral patients will always have the same providers through IHC’s telebehavioral health platform.
