About Us
The Governing Board of Garfield County Hospital District is comprised of 5 elected commissioners. The Commissioners are the governing authority of the district, they appoint the Chief Executive Officer, assure compliance with regulations, monitor performance, and direct the affairs of the district.
Board meetings are open to the public. Regular board meetings are held each month on the First Monday of each month starting at 6:00 pm. The Board of Commissioners will hold their Regular Board Meetings at the Senior Center at 695 Main Street, Pomeroy, WA

Steven Cannon
Chairman of the Board

Steven is a District Manager for OneMain Financial, overseeing $80 million in assets. Starting his career with OneMain back in 2000 Steve managed several different offices and district throughout Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington. Steven attended college at Washington State University where he received his bachelor’s in business management. While at WSU he met his wife Elizabeth, who teaches at Pomeroy Elementary. They have two beautiful children, Peyton and Kennedy. Steven and his family take advantage of every free moment they have and pack their weekends full of adventures of every kind.
Sherry Ledgerwood
Secretary of the Board

Sherry Ledgerwood joined the GCHD Board in December of 2021 and brings 25 years’ experience as a Medical Assistant, in addition to working in reception, lab, direct patient care, IT, Electronic Health Records, and CMS reporting. She holds a Certified Medical Assistant license in Washington and is employed as a Crop Insurance Field Adjuster for Zurich NA. Sherry’s involvement in the community is extensive going on 11 years as a Group Leader for Garfield County 4-H Program. She is the Co-Director for the Garfield County Spring Preview Jackpot and the Fair Superintendent for the Open Beef Division. She has served as the Secretary of Asotin County Leaders Council and the Asotin County Fair Board. She and her husband, Travis, have 4 children and run the family farm operation in Garfield County. In her free time, Sherry and her family enjoy camping, fishing, hunting, and attending sporting and 4-H events.
Allie Hyer
Commissioner

Allie Hyer is a current board member for the Garfield County Hospital District, bringing both professional experience and deep community roots to her role. Her connection to the hospital began shortly after graduating Pomeroy Jr/Sr High School in 2008, when she first joined the hospital district as a dietary aid within the nutritional services department. After spending a few years away from home, Allie returned in 2013 and rejoined the department as a nutritional services professional. Following the birth of her daughter in 2014, she transitioned into the role of Dietary Manager.
During her time as the Dietary Manager, Allie earned her Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) and Certified Food Protection Professional (CFPP) credentials through the University of North Dakota. She continued to advance her education after stepping away from the hospital in 2019, completing an Associate’s Degree in Business Management from Spokane Falls Community College.
Today, Allie is a stay‑at‑home mother to her three children—Lily, Cash, and Weston—and has been married to her husband, Zach Hyer, since 2015. Their family enjoys spending time in the mountains and at the river, especially during the warmer months when they can camp and gold prospect together.
Allie is grateful for the opportunity to serve the community in this new capacity and looks forward to contributing to the continued success and growth of Garfield County Hospital District.
Erica Stallcop

Erica Stallcop has been a registered nurse for almost 12 years, holds a master's degree in nursing and is a Certified Case Manager. Erica has been employed with Regence Blue Cross Blue Shield for the past 8 years where she currently serves as an SR Clinical Consultant supporting clinical operations for the case management department. She has previously worked in acute care, outpatient pediatrics and home health. Erica and her husband, Adam Stallcop, a native of Pomeroy, and their family relocated to Garfield County in 2016. They love rural living, including working on their property, riding horses and camping.
Jennifer Dixon

Jennifer has been with Tri-State Clearwater Medical Clinic since 2003 and is currently working in the capacity as a Care Coordinator and Suboxone Program Coordinator. Jennifer’s dedication to patient centered medicine and her continuous proactive patient advocacy is a valuable asset as a Board Commissioner. Jennifer is a native of Pomeroy, she is married to Justin Dixon and together they have a beautiful daughter, Autumn and handsome boy, Knox. Jennifer and her husband enjoy hunting, camping, hiking and all the other outdoor recreation that this area has to offer.
